location
In our OTS the location is very important as the wrong location will make the wrong type of atmosphere and it won't make the audience scared. That is why we filmed the majority of the OTS behind the stage as it is dark, empty and the walls and floors are black so this helps with making the lighting eerie and creepy as if the walls were pink then it wouldn't be as scary for the audience because the room wouldn't be dark and creepy. Also with all the black walls and floors it makes it hard to tell where the location is as everything is black so the audience won't be able to notice that we filmed behind a stage so they'll just assume that it is some dark creepy room in a basement for example.
Another location we used was the nurse's office. We chose this for the location for our the start of our OTS as the first scene involves a doctor dressed character injecting a patient and then the patient losing consciousness. Therefore, we needed a room that looked like a doctor's room so the location fitted the characters, how they are dressed and what they are doing. Otherwise, the scene would of not looked realistic and it would of not made sense to the audience if a doctor is injecting a patient in a random/unusual location. Also when people think of doctor's and doctor's room they relate it to having their illnesses cured or a place where they will find out what is wrong with them and get it sorted; so a mainly positive view. This will make the audience feel as if nothing bad is going to happen as they relate a doctor's room to positive things like getting well but then in our OTS the doctor's room is where all the bad things start to happen so this will surprise the audience.
